hey people Skyrim is out and I'm wondering, do I need to play Oblivian to understand the story of Skyrim or can I just jump into Skyrim? I've only played Oblivian for about an hour.

It's not necessary to play the game, but It will make the lore behind the main quest line and whatnot more enjoyable.

All you need to know about Oblivion is that the emperor dies, demons enter the world of mortals for a little while, and afterwards the empire starts falling apart. That's about it. I mean, knowing other tidbits of past lore will make discovering how some things have changed more interesting, but it's not necessary.

No but if u are like me and a very story drived rpgest then it might be worth it.And its on sale on steam atm so if u want more of the lore of skyrim play but u could just watch a LP to understand the lore.
