-claps hands- they did say they were changing it, with the new engine etc. personally, there are aspects i love and those i dont. i preferred lock picking in oblivion for example, the 3d map im not too sure about. but all in all, its the amazing game i expected

I love it so far.
The combat is great. I'd prefer a 2D map to the 3D one. Sometimes it's hard to see the depth of the land and where I'm supposed to go. I have to admit I never played Oblivion, but it was really easy to pick up without knowing anything before Skyrim.

Amazing. I'm glad they enhanced the combat. It makes it a lot more enjoyable. And I actually like the 3D map, haha. And the lockpicking in Oblivion was annoying. I'm glad they took the Fallout system.

Wait, lock picking is disabled? How do we open locked doors then?

The only fault I've had with the game so far is not being able to choose your major skills at the beginning- it's all based on your race now. This isn't so bad, but it makes it harder to play a class that wasn't exactly intended for your races- ie, it's difficult to be an orc mage or a high elf warrior. It's still doable, but you're off to a disadvantage in the beginning.

Yeah and they changed the race bonuses a lot ( Hell why would Imperials have a major bonus in restoration ) and yeah I wanted to be a Nord ( storywise ) and a spellsword ( spell equipped on left hand, sword equipped on right hand ) but I won't be able to do it now.
Imperials have bonuses in heavy armor, restoration and one-handed weapons so I'll be an Imperial.

The game is flawless. Game of the Decade.
I've spent at least 12 hours on it now and I intend to spend my entire weekend playing on it. So immersive.

I played it shortly on my friend's 360, and once the price goes down a little bit I'll be getting it for my PS3, from what I played it was good, and seems like it'll be an amazing time killer.
