Teen Parent Section

I'm sure I'm not the first person to suggest this, but what about a "Teen Parenting" or just "Parenting" section of the forums? It would be a great place for teens to get parenting advice, and teens could also read about what some people have gone through as teen parents. Things that could be discussed:
-Advice for Teen parents (single or not)
-Stories about hardships
-Advice for pregnant teens
-Advice on how to avoid pregnancy

In addition, it could be a great place for teen parents meet fellow teen parents. If this is a bad idea, please say so.

In short, there aren't enough people here who would need it.
It would be rare if someone did, and they could post it in another sub forum.
Also, on VT's main site there is This (http://www.virtualteen.org/topics/parents/pregnant/) and this (http://www.virtualteen.org/topics/teens/pregnancy/), which has yet to be written, probably because there isn't that high a need for it here.

So no, I don't see this happening.

Well, there are teen parents out there, even if it would be rarely used, wouldn't it still be good to have it for the few?

Honestly, no. It isn't necessary to have. If they are looking for advice, we have H&A forums. It really isn't part of VT's goal to specialize here. Like Eric said, a group could be made, if needed.

Nobody can make a forum here except admins.
Eric meant you could make a diary, which I don't think you can do either (You haven't been here long enough, acc. to my knowledge to request a diary. There is not a 100% it would be made.)

The best thing to do, even if you were here longer, rather than making a very unused diary or group about it, just help individuals who ask about it.

i think it could possibly send the wrong message n possibly promote teen pregnancy just my opinion especially if teens start readin it n think "well that person handled it at my age why cant i" n i also think it would attract "bashin" n trollin of the forum from those people that are totally against teen pregnancy or pregnancy/sex before marriage i see that all the time even in real life n at school... again not sayin its a stupid idea its a good thought just dont think it fits what this site is intended for n would get abused

First of all I know this thread was locked, but I think that the OP was served an injustice for the reactions that he's gotten to his request.

Honestly dude, let me put it to you this way, this site was created to cater to the needs of teenagers. Although you may not see much of teen pregnancy on this site because what teen mom has the time to sit on a forum and do this shit? They're too busy and they need advice. If anything, I would rather have a locked forum with locked stickies submitted my users and other important information, with provided sources. There is no place in Help and Advice anywhere that would suggest any sort of help with their pregnancy. There is a lot of distress and issues that come along with teen pregnancy and it shouldn't be belittled or looked down upon as a "small problem" because it's a bigger problem than you might think.

Before you start on what this site needs, look at the big picture. And really think. I will admit there are some pretty lame suggestions for this forum, but some like this can actually be considered and I think this one of all might actually happen. It might not or might be an active forum, but having some information for those who are actually enduring this are valid and deserve some help. You guys shouldn't be so quick to lock shit in here because I hate seeing so many locked threads in this section and second of all, don't always be so quick to be nasty to someone's idea or try to be so negative. This is a teen HELP site, not a whocanbeanassholebecauseitssatisfying site. If you don't like what I've said or if you have an issue, then PM me and I'll gladly speak with you.
