After all the rumors, Black Sabbath has officially reunited and are going on tour with a new studio album. Ozzy said at the press conference yesterday that they already have 8 songs written and they're trying to get the original sound of the early Sabbath years. Most of the video above really doesn't say much until 2:50. For all of us teen fans of the band, we finally get a chance to see them live which I'm personally EXTREMELY excited for, assuming they come near where I live.

Heard that on friday, this weekend is perfect,Skyrim,Kaizers Orchestras new album and Sabbath reunion :D
I dont care if their closest concert is in Italy,im going to see them no matter what or where, this doesnt happen often, and their not getting younger(but I bet Ozzy outlive us all lol)
And the album thing is exciting, they have worked together(not all four at once though as far as I know) before in songs/songmaking after they split up "many fucking moons ago",like Geezer on the Ozzmosis album and Ozzy and Bill on the Iommi album, and Ozzmosis is one of my favorite albums :D

No, because that wouldn't be Black Sabbath. Zakk Wylde split with Ozzy to do other solo projects. Tony Iommi has always been the guitarist for Black Sabbath. He's been in the lineup since the beginning.

Seems like a lot of bands are making desperate stabs at trying to remain relevant these days. Metallica and Lou Reed, The Doors and Skrillex... Just die already. Die and stay dead.

The Doors are considerably old, which I can agree with. Metallica isn't that old, maybe 22 or 23 years. Lou Reed? Yeah, probably time for him to hang up. But this is probably the biggest reunion anyone is going to see. It's not really a matter of staying relevant, more like "We're getting old, we might as well do this before we die".

I don't think some of you people are understanding the difference between Black Sabbath as a band, and Ozzy Osbourne's solo career.
Ozzy was the singer of Black Sabbath until 1979 when he got kicked out of the band, and there were no lineup changes during that time. Tony Iommi was always the guitarist.
Then Ozzy found Randy Rhoads and they recorded two albums together before Randy tragically died. This was the beginnings of Ozzy's solo career, and not related to Black Sabbath at all. Since Randy, Ozzy's guitarists have been Jake E. Lee, Zakk Wylde, and now currently Gus G. So as you can see, none of the guitarists mentioned in this paragraph have ever, or will ever, be in Black Sabbath.

Settle mate, don't blow a gasket. As a large fan of Randy Rhoads, I'm obviously aware he is dead. Considering that Tommy is such an arsehole and ozzy and him have had issues I assumed that Wylde would take the place as he gets along with ozzy, not to mention bill ward.

Cheers jimmy, good to have someone who knows they're stuff on here still :)

Firstly, Tony and Ozzy don't have any issues. They got over it years ago. The only thing that they had issues over was settled earlier this year in court. It's just royalty payment, nothing more. I'm sure they'll have a backup for Ward, considering all his heart problems. Metal drummers can not have heart problems.

Well... this certainly does look suckish. They posted the "tour dates" to their facebook, and there's 15 dates, none of which are in America. I'm guessing they haven't added all of the dates yet, because they're all in Europe and that's hardly a "world tour". They even made the announcement in Los Angeles.

I suspect we'll see a Fall/Winter tour leg here in the States. Depending on how much the tickets are, I may or may not go see them.

I'm probably going to end up going no matter what. I've paid obscene amounts of money for concert tickets in the past, so anything Black Sabbath puts up will probably not be much in comparison. I saw Ozzy earlier this year and front tickets were 100 bucks, so that's pretty good compared to other bands.

For some reason, I think Ozzy is more coherent when he sings than when he speaks.

Ozzys ability to sing but not talk(as well as other people) may be because when he sing he know the lyrics but when he talk there is no lyrics for him to memorize, got the same problem myself from time to time actually XD
And if he had yelled instead of talked he would be easier to understand as he tend to mumble when he talk while when he sing it looks like hes doing a parody on Steven Tyler :D
Sorry that I didnt quote but im on my phone right now

Buy your grandma a ticket and take her for her birthday, regardless if she's a fan or not.
I just have the best ideas ever, don't I?

In fact I have thought about it, seriously.
Maybe yes, but I will have to take the seating tickets then.

not athletic at all that's why we're going to sit. we've discussed it and she said yes. I even found out that she knows who Ozzy Osbourne is, how old he is and some facts about the family. I guess she watched Mtv some years ago XD
she said yes, we're going to see them :D
ohh that will be fun.
first rock concert that I will attend with my grandmother XD
I hope she won't be shocked and Ozzy won't bite bats

Ozzy never "bit bats" regularly. It was a one-time thing and he only did it because someone threw it on stage and he thought it was a plastic bat. Kinda puts a damper on the story but that's how it went.

Its not really a reunion, since they never actually broke up, just replaced singers. But I'm glad anyway, this is gonna be awesome
