So I have a little brother, and he is about 6 years old. We share a room, and he always wakes me up if he wakes up first. I like to sleep in sometimes, but he wakes me up. Is there any way I can get him to keep away so I can sleep in on the weekends???

Yes, I know this sounds kind of corny to post a thread about, but I have been sleep deprived lately because of this. He sometimes wakes up really early, like 5am!!!!! I need to get my sleep, so I need a way to get him to stop. I've asked him to stop, but you know how little kids are, he doesn't listen!

Tell your parents.

Simple as that. Little brother bothering you? Mommy and Daddy can help. If kicking him in the shin and threatening to break his favorite action figure (I don't recommend this!) doesn't work than go to your parents, and explain to them that you are a teenager and you need to sleep longer than your little brother because it's cutting into your school work (I.E, you're falling asleep in class because he keeps waking you up!!). Lying isn't right, by any means, but if it's the stake of your hours upon hours of sleep that you have, than a little white lie to get them to set him straight won't hurt. They'll be able to tell him that if he doesn't let big brother sleep, he's going to get a spanking, or something.

Stop putting him to bed before you too. :P

maybe try being nice to him.. fix his favorite meal, or sit down and watch his favorite tv show with him..then very nicely just bring up your issue, explain why its bad, and ask him if he could try and let you sleep more :3
