External hard drives for fraps

Hay VT im hoping some of u use fraps and could tell me of any good external hard drives for recording.Or anything that the HD needs like usb 3.0 7200 rpm ETC.

If you do recording record it directly to an internal hard drive and then move it to the external

Right now I'd say wait on hard drives, prices have shot up anywhere from 10% to 200% (such as the case of WD caviar Blacks)

For some reason an internal drive you could get for $50 a month ago is now nearly $400 in some cases. No idea what the fuck happened.

Oh, apparently the shitty Thai floods killed their main factories. Will probably take them years to recover. SSDs are literally officially better value:GB in some cases right now... Of course taking into account the about 50x faster read/write rates.
