So people. Can you tell me how I can remove OnStar from a vehicle?
any help would be appreciated but I don't want this to be a thread telling me "oh they're not listening to you" or "you have nothing to hide" I just want advice on how to remove it.
Thanks

Don't you have to subscribe to OnStar after a certain amount of time? You could just wait it out and then refuse to resubscribe to it

Wrong even if you dont subscribe after your trial is up they can still monitor your vehicle... They cant hear anything being said in the car without a connection into the car (which you will hear the connection start) but they can monitor your location, speed, direction of travel etc... as far as "getting rid" of it i am not sure there is anyway to do so it is built into the on board computer system of all GM models i believe if you really want it gone that bad i would reccomend going to a certified GM dealership and talking to the service manager if you just go to some hack shop they may either charge you and say they took it out but didnt really do it or they make actually take it out and disable the vehicle itself.

I could have sworn they got sued for this and couldnt do that anymore because it violates your right to privacy, but i could be wrong. Oh well i learn something new everyday :P Thankssss :)

That's just creepy >_>
Remind me not to buy a GM...
Anyways, usually the dealer is the best bet, and they should(but probably won't) make it free.
