Coke or E??

Well I'm going to a showtek gig this weekend and all my friends are gonna be taking either cocaine or ecstasy, what I'm wondering is what one of the 2 is safest because it's almost guaranteed I'm gonna end up taking one?

Ecstasy is far safer than cocaine. Less addictive at the very least. I'm not going to encourage either, but I'd much rather do E. If you end up doing either, make sure you don't overheat and drink fluids, but don't overdo it. The comedown from coke is probably a lot worse than crashing on E.

Ecstasy has been used to treat mental illnesses, many varieties of them. I'd say that+feeling orgasmic=better than racing heart for 20 minutes and possibly dying.

But since you're obviously not a regular user, don't take either because you don't have a good source. Only good sources give out uncut stuff. (and don't say getting from your junkie friend is a good source)

You buy anything less than pure you're guaranteed infection, poisoning, or something else that will end up with you being dead.

You don't fucking need ecstasy or coke to be happy. If you do, you need to see a psychiatrist.

Exaggeration much? Check out pillreports or Dancesafe. They have reports for tests of pills in various regions. Avoid E pills though unless you know they are good. You're from the UK/Europe. The ecstasy situation there is not as bad as here (though I've heard of piperazine pills with mCPP and BZP showing up at big festivals). Most of your MDMA comes from the Netherlands as a light tan powder. If you can buy crystalline MDMA, get it. It usually smells lightly spicy (like root beer) and has a distinct taste.

As for coke, the adulterants are generally just nasty, but not deadly. Anything from laxative to anti-parasitic medication.

I'd much rather do E. Cocaine is just not worth it. Ecstasy is actually pretty safe; One study even suggested it was less harmful than alcohol (then again, alcohol is truly one of the worst drugs). Just avoid overheating. If you can, try doing a preloading cycle and take 5HTP. After your high, you can mitigate oxidative damage using Vitamin E/C.

Most of the damage caused by (real) MDMA is not the effect itself, but after the high, when dopamine sneaks through open SERT proteins and is oxidized by MAO, thus producing peroxides (I think that's the theory suggested by Dr. Nichols at Purdue). Peroxides can be mitigated by antioxidants. Even THC (cannabis component) has been shown to mitigate this effect.

Either way be careful. Both have the potential to be very dangerous. Just act smart.

I think it is better to choose neither, it is a way better choice :) You don't have to act like you are going to be forced to take drugs. It is always your choice. You really shouldn't let yourself be influenced like that, but it is your choice, so I'm not going to force you to stop, you should just realize you are your own person, you don't need to do what your friends are doing.

Unless one of them takes the pill and forcefully shoves it down your throat, I'd say you shouldn't take anything. And if your friends try to pressure you into sinking to their level then in all honesty, they're not worth having. You can be better than that. The beauty of living in a developed, modern country is free will.

Get the facts on both, then make what you feel is the right choice for yourself, no one on this site or any of your friends can make that choice for you. Have a great time at the show btw. - I'm jealous, js.
