I'm gonna level with everyone here - SUV's are completely pointless in this day and age. Need lots of room? Get a minivan. Need capabilities? Plenty of smaller Xovers can do more than your big SUV ever could. There's simply no need for one at all. Stop complaining about your image and buy a minivan or a crossover.

What if you're like me and need to tow a 2 and a half ton boat? Not much below 3.0l will tow it, and it needs 4 wheel drive and a high road clearance for when you reverse the boat trailer into the water so you don't get your car wet.
So no. They're not useless.

In 2003 they made a Ford Expedition that had a 6.8l V10, I'd tune that thing up and have like 500hp!
Theres also the Ford Excursion, which is really an F-350, which woule be cool because you could tow everything.
For newer cars though I'd take a the lifted 2012 Chevy Suburban Z71 that was in the second(?) transformers movie. Matte black with a huge ass lift.

I'm quite a city kid, so I'd go with a Range Rover Evoque for the body. If I had the money I'd rip the little puny engine out and strap on JLR's 5 litre supercharged V8 though, a sweet exhaust and some chassis upgrades and rape ass out on the streets. And boat ramps.

cool that sounds like my moms old one was. it was a black '08 Suburban 2500, she traded it in for a blue 2010 Dodge Charger r/t tho. Still miss the 'burb, one of my favorite SUVs. Its been around since 1935 and is larger, and more fuel efficient, than the current Seqouia, Land Cruiser, Armada, and Expedition, athough im a fan of the ford as well
