In my Physics AP class, we watched a video about clean sources of energy. One of the sources that really intrigued me is Nuclear Fusion. As opposed to Nuclear Fission, Nuclear Fusion is a lot safer and produces great amounts of energy. The issue is that Nuclear Fusion is still being perfected, but why is it that so few scientists are working with Nuclear Fusion? In my opinion, more research should be done on Nuclear Fusion so that it can produce clean, safe, and pleniful amounts of energy for the world. With Nuclear Fusion, there is no risk of meltdowns because atoms are being fused instead of split.

What do you guys think? If you vote in the poll, also be sure to leave a comment to support your choice.

I've always been interested by nuclear fusion and I think it's important that development of the technologies required for it to occur continue. It's a long-term investment that could have huge, unprecedented implications on energy production. I don't think we'll see widespread use of fusion-related power plants in our lifetimes – the estimate I keep seeing for when it'll become viable is about 100 years – but we won't get there without starting today.

I think that any new cleaner way for energy must be good, hopefully soon we'll be able to build ships and explore the cosmos...

How do you propose us doing this And what does that have to do with the topic of clean energy?

idk, new source of energy, we've petty much already come up with everything we can think of with energy...sorry I'll leave my uneducated on nuclear fusion thoughts to myself...
And it would be clean because we're in space not earth?idk lol
I just think it would be really cool if we could actually travel in space and establish new colonies on other worlds.
EDIT: I do not mean to pollute other planets...just nevermind about what I said, and answer with YOUR thoughts on Nuclear Fusion...

Yeah, so then we can not only destroy and pollute Earth, but other planets as well. Great plan.

Who needs clean energy when we can have a "free market" controlled by neo-cons and Saudi royalty? The only reason we still rely on oil is because we've let oil barons use their "individual rights" to crush better fuel-sources.
