Anyone on it or have been on it? I've been recently perscribed to taking it and I'm very curious about it.

Well, the past few days I've been waking up shaking after I've taken the pill and gone to bed. Also..for large parts of the day I feel like there are two of me. One is zoned in on school..but the other one feels like I'm outside my body, observing me. Sometimes I feel like the other one of me is split in my mind. I even had a very lengthy conversation with myself a few nights ago. It wasn't anything bad or violent, it was actually kind of friendly...as if the real me was ok that I'm on the pills that apparently will help me get better.

It's also kind of messed up my sleeping habits....I fall asleep earlier, but I wake up later..and was even 30 minutes late for school today because of it.

So I guess I'm wondering if anyone has experienced any sort of side effects like this..and well, if you did, how long did it take for your body to get used to the medication? I've heard it takes anywhere from a few weeks to a few months..vague, I know, but I haven't heard anything different.

Any help is appreciated!

I was on it for a LOOOONG time. I never had any side-effects, so I guess that's why I was on it so long, not that it helped at all. I believe it takes a few weeks for most.

I dont know if the whole talking to yourself deal is a good thing, does your doctor know about that?

Bedroom is that pic of the really white girl in your sig (on the right) you? Its really h o t.

Are you shaking because you are tired? Have any heart problems in the family? I did a quick search and found someone else with similar symptoms if it makes you feel better:

I have started taking zoloft today. My body is very sensitive to medication so they put me on a dosage of 25mg a day. It has worked immediatly. I have already experienced night sweats, shaking, nausea and upset stomach. I delt with the problem alot better the im dealing with the medication.

Zoloft is alright. I take it as an anit-depressant and an an OCD medication. It doesn't help with the OCD or the depression. But I continue to take it because I don't know what else to take. My psychiatrist has already prescribed me a couple of different medications that don't really work. *sigh* However, the side effects. I got really nausated for a while when I began to take it. Also I would have "shivers" which looked like twitches. As for the talking to yourself I think you might want to get that checked out.....

No shaking because I'm tired..and both my grandfathers died of heart related problems...yikes! I guess I'm sorta next in line :(..hopefully not though...I guess the shaking is somewhat typical...but I get worried every time I wake up cause my entire body freaks out...I see my therapist tomorrow..so I'll talk to him about it...Thanks for all the help guys :)

Bill's a guy. I've never taken Zoloft, so I commented mostly to clear up the confusion over Bill's gender. Bedroom Eyes is not Bill.
