I've done this also. I like doing it both ways, but talking on the phone rather than text is obviously a little more 'live'. But I've done it both ways.

Dude its completely normal and as long as your both ok with it thats fine. One of my friends sometimes we text each other while were wanking were both comfortable with it so its ok for us. So as long as both of you are it shouldnt be a problem :P
