It's some Catholic/Christian thing I guess. You can't "kill" on a sabbath day. Where I live, your also not allowed to drink on Sundays. This I think is even more stupid, as in Christian belief, "Jesus gave wine to disciples on the last dinner". Hunting is a dumb rule too, It's like fasting for some people.

If it is a religious thing, thats ridiculous. I guess the whole thing about keeping state and religion separate just went even farther south...

Separation of church and state never actually happened.

I researched why it's not allowed. It doesn't SEEM to be religion...
The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, with 50,000 members, is the major opponent of Sunday hunting, saying farmers need one day a week to relax with their families and not worry about bullets zinging across their property or trespassers encroaching.

I think the question really should be Should you be aloud to hunt?
It doesn't really matter what the day is.

I am against hunting for the sport, but if it serves a useful purpose, and is killed in a correct way, I'm fine with it. I don't see myself ever hunting though...

That sounds very much like a front that people used to restore their idea of the sacred sabbath day (or whatever it is you Christians call it). So I'm gonna call bullshit on that one...maybe not, though, but Sunday is the "day of rest" according to the Bible, and that is just too coincidental.

At first I thought you were being serious :P.
I'm not a hunter,I would like to be,you know, right of passion in the south(boy or girl) :P.Also the meat is more natural and there are no coops or cages xD.
This does seem like a pretty stupid law, very religious based.

I don't think it has anything to do with the bible. In Indiana, we have to "keep the peace" on Sunday, because that is a day people are off of work most often.
*shrug* if you want to, they should allow you to.

What does "keep the peace" even mean...? Who decides the parameters that define that? Sorry...shouldn't get off-topic, but that phrase just interests me.
Also, @Jess, sorry, I wasn't sure if you were joking or not...

Is there a reason why we cant hunt on sundays

Yes, this country lacks complete separation of church and state and likes to enforce christian holy days and morals on its largely secular population.
Before anyone gets on my case about "largely secular", let's face it. Most people put down a religion on those polls, but rarely if ever actually practice it. Therefore, secular.
