Hi Guys,
I have a really random question...do you think you will have "the talk" with your son when he is older? I see so many posts on here, it's one extreme or the other...guys are embarassed or to quote one post "I ran like hell when my dad tried to talk to me about it," yet other guys would have done anything to have had their dad or another older male talk to them about everything. My dad was somewhat open to talking about things, but I had to bring it up, and it was kind of hard. I want my son to know that he can talk to me about anything...and I want to bring up the body hair facts too, I wish I knew more about that. How do you feel about it? Do you think you will talk to your son when he is 12ish (or whatever you feel appropriate?)

i have known about sex and everything since i was like 7 but I say tell them at like 10 because that's the earliest that a guy can go into puberty

When I am older, IF my son/daughter asks about it, I will tell them. Better hearing the truth than all the made up stuff kids think they know

I would. I don't have a dad to tel me this stuff. I've been very naive about it.

im sure i will have the "talk" with my son(s) if when i have them i think every parent owes it to their kid to talk bout it with their kids n to make sure they know the risks n ways to be safe if they do chose to do things... i feel my parents "talk" was very good n helpful though i just got it this year they taught me like i was a teenager n not a little kid n they didnt just say how bad sex n stuff is more or less they educated me on how to be safe n protect myself n the risks that are out there. i think when your a parent if your involved with your children you will know when the time is right to talk to them bout it again we all develop n mature differently n at different speeds so i think its more of a case by case scenario n if you have 2 sons n have the talk with 1 at 12 doesnt mean you should or have to have the talk with the second son at the same age again you will know when its the "right time" to have a sex talk with your kids just respect their feelins curiousity n maybe even fears treat them like young adults not little kids n i think all will work out
i have known about sex and everything since i was like 7 but I say tell them at like 10 because that's the earliest that a guy can go into puberty
thats wrong cuz the average age for boys to start puberty is 8-11 n again thats only n AVERAGE we are all different n develop n mature at different rates just cuz 7 out of 10 boys start it around 10 yrs old you still got those other 3 that start it either earlier or later again the 8-11 year old age group is just an "average range" but either way you cant say that 10 is the EARLIEST someone can start puberty that would be like sayin all boys will start puberty on a friday
