So I've never had too much luck with relationships, but this time things have been going pretty great. I really want to take the next step and try some things with this girl, and I think she'd be open to it, but how does one ask for a BJ, HJ, etc in a way that doesn't get you smacked?

Personally I would just start having a make out session, and then just kind of start moving things along as long as she is receptive to it. Just kind of make out, and if it goes well, start feeling her up, and then maybe take her top off, stick your finger down her pants, etc... as long as she doesn't say no or resist then just keep moving along... and if she is not ready then the next day talk to her about it.
