Poem about cutting that i wrote

[BelieveInYesterday]

I can’t explain why I feel this way
It’s just a feeling that will go away,
I have never felt this cold, lost, and alone
I tried to get rid of it but it’s carved into my bone,
You told me to smile and hold my head high
Bury the feelings that tear me up inside,
You said I wanted attention,
You could never understand,
Spend one day in my shoes
And we’ll just see how bad you lose,
Watch myself die, as I look you in the eye
All just before you say “Good bye�,

The things that made you happy are now making you sad
You’re trapped in the depression of your own made-up land,
You closed your eyes tight,
The nightmare lives on,
You tried to scream, but no sound came out,
The more you cut the less you felt,
The more you cut the better you felt

I’d like to think tomorrow,
Will be a better day,
Some how this must go away… but I’m afraid it’s here to stay
I just want the pain
To end…
