Justin Bieber is the biggest child star since Michael Jackson and one of the world's most famous defenders of chastity.

But the 17-year-old singer is today facing damaging claims that he seduced an older fan and fathered her child while he was underage.

Mariah Yeater, 20, is said to have had sex with Bieber backstage at a concert in Los Angeles in October last year. She said the singer told her it was his "first time" but refused to wear a condom as he "wanted to feel everything" and the sex lasted only 30 seconds.

She has filed papers in court demanding Bieber take a paternity test to "scientifically confirm" he is the father of her three-month-old son, and to "provide adequate support" for the baby, according to US reports.

She could be charged with statutory rape as the age of consent in California is 18.

Bieber, who has just released a Christmas album, told Rolling Stone magazine in February: "I don't think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them."

Matthew Hiltzik, a spokesman for the star, denied Miss Yeater's allegation. "While we haven't yet seen the lawsuit, it's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims," he said.

Miss Yeater was 19 when, she claims, she was seduced by the Canadian star, who is dating actress and singer Selena Gomez, also 19.

According to the celebrity website Radar Online, Miss Yeater has written an affidavit alleging that one of the singer's security guards approached her at the concert and "asked if I wanted to meet Justin Bieber" before taking her backstage.

"After waiting for a short period of time with several young women, Justin Bieber appeared and engaged me in conversation," Miss Yeater reportedly says in the lawsuit. "It was obvious that we were mutually attracted to one another, and we began to kiss."

It continues: "He told me he wanted to make love to me and this was going to be his first time. After walking away from the other people backstage, he found a place where we could be alone - a bathroom.

"We went inside and immediately his personality changed drastically. He began touching me and repeatedly said he wanted to **** the **** out of me.

"At the time I asked him to put a condom on for protection, but he insisted he did not want to because it was his first time and he wanted to feel everything."

She continued Bieber "quickly took off my clothes. He was on top of me with my legs around him. I was on top of some type of shelf.
"The sexual intercourse itself was brief, lasting only approximately 30 seconds."

A court has scheduled a hearing in Los Angeles for December 15th

there's no risk of going to prison if it didn't actually happen, because there would be no possible way to convict beyond a reasonable doubt. because it's a civil suit, i don't actually think there would be the possibility of criminal charges for making false statements, or anything like that - probably the worst thing that could happen to her would be a civil suit. obviously he wouldn't sue her, he wants this all to go away.
