Is there any way to allow a message longer than that?
I was trying to update the Quick Reference for the photo album, but it's too long and I can't post it.
Help, please?

Yep, I suppose this is an exception, but to prevent incredibly long post from being arranged otherwise, I'm lowering the limit back to 75,000. That is the only thread that I know of that has more than even 60,000 characters, so this shouldn't hurt normal posts, and if someone wants to update the photo reference, an administrator can raise the limit for a few hours.
Thank you, Heather, for updating that reference! :)

It wouldn't go through as one post, my comp. kept kept giving me an error because it took so long, so if it's alright, I made it into two post. I'll start updating it again later, my eyes hurt, lol, and I'm almost done. So yeah...
You can put the limit back down. Thanks Alex! :-P

Sorry to bump an old thread but can someone please lift the limit?
Also in the quick reference is there a way that someone could get rid of all the posts in that thread other than the reference and the update post?

I have increased the limit, just let me know when you are finished so I can put it back. :)
Do you want me to delete all the posts that are there now so there is only the reference posts and then when you are done put in a new update post?

Do you guys want that thread locked when it is not being updated?
Maverick
June 5th, 2008, 06:36 PM
Locking it isn't good because then Heather can't edit it.
Antares
June 5th, 2008, 06:38 PM
I know but it would only be locked when she is not editing it.

Thats up to you guys, if you don't mind unlocking it everytime I edit it, because someone is going to have to raise the limit anyways.

But what would the maximum amount possible to type on one thread. that is before someone rips their eyes out after reading it

Ah don't worry about it, you should never reach the limit, it's high enough. :)

The photo album is updated every day. So when someone posts a new pic she can't always be here to edit the quick referrence. So if we lock it then..well I guess you get the point.

I update it every couple of weeks, not sure what you (^) were trying to say so I'm just gonna put that in there.
