More User Profile Entries (See For Details)

I was just thinking, going through and editing my profile, I wish there were more entries for more details. The one that went though my head was something like "What music do you like?" Stuff like that. If you have a MyYearbook profile (Not saying I want to turn VT into MyYearbook) there are prime examples of what I'm thinking. They have "What do you wear?" "Sexuality?" "Movies?" and stuff like that.

I think it would be a decent thing to add, for the use of someone to be able to express themselves without having to find/start a thread for little things like "I like Nicki Minaj!" Instead, people could share that love through a PM or VM, or even the chat room, although threads similar to that are still available for use. It would also help people find out more about someone without having to go out and ask them. An example:

Instead of: "Do you like (Insert music artist)?"
This: "Oh, I see you like (Insert music artist)!! I love their songs (etc.)."
-OR-
Instead of asking someone of their sexuality, by choice someone could disclose that through their profile.

Just an idea, main thing is, I think more profile detail boxes may be useful.

And then the profile fields will make your posts too long. If you want to add that stuff, add it to your biography, which isn't shown on posts, but can be viewed on your profile.

I not sure what you mean. Not saying your point is not valid, it most definitely is. I didn't mean stuff that shows on posts. Just extras shown on profile.

I guess you could put everything in Biography, but I was thinking of more subcategories in your profile. So Biography isn't so cluttered. More organization I guess. :3

Thats what posting is for. There is an Introduction section, here, (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=38) where we encourage you to post things like that. This isn't a social networking site by any means, so a big Profile page would be kind of silly unless we were wanting you to find your soul mates and what not (Which we are NOT).

If you want to share your interests and hobbies and so on, you can go post in threads in the General Discussions, or just post in threads period. Or use your signature, of course.
