I'm 17 and in a few months, I'll be 18 years old. I'm just now experiencing my first crush. And it's hard.

There's this girl- beautiful, hot, enchanting, AMAZING. Intelligent and enthralling. We share the same hobbies, I'm told, and interests... but there's a problem (isn't there always?): We barely know one another.

We're in separate grades (she's 11th, I'm 12th) and the only way I know her is through the extra C's we share, cross country and the National Honor Society and through a friend of mine who is best friends with her. But we haven't really spoken and I doubt she knows my name.

Now, don't get me wrong- I'm lucky in the sense that I can be obnoxiously confident and I have no fear in talking to people, even my crush, but I have no reason to talk to her now that cross country is over.

What the hell do I do?! This girl is driving me wild!

Does she show any interest in you?
Bring up something about what she's wearing, doing, or ask her if she's joining cross country next year and how she likes it. Build off of little conversation.
I'm sure you'll do great and just be yourself.
Best of luck to you. :)

Well having ran cross before, I know how weird it is compared to most sports. A friend of mine is on the team now (I had to quit) and had a big issue with a girl on the team a grade below him. But now they're okay, and it's not awkward, so I'm told. Anyways, use that confidence to assert yourself amongst other guys by making her laugh and whatnot. Just don't make others mad, and you'll get to know her. Build, build, build on that, and if you end up liking her personality, go for it when you believe the situation to be right. =D

P.s. Way to be one of the rest of us VT members: Great at giving advice, terrible at follow our own. =P
