Well, I have a new GP... and I have a full physical with her coming up in two days. My arms are a mess and I know there will be no hiding it or covering it with makeup. It just wouldn't work. Last time I had a physical done, they wanted me to wear one of those gowns and take off my clothes... can I refuse if this is the case this time? I'm sure my GP is a lovely woman (I've only met her once briefly) but she's not spoken to my psychiatrist yet (whom I assume will be passing on my ongoing mental health records) who, coincidentally, I'm seeing the day after. It would be one thing for her to speak with my psychiatrist who is aware then see them but I don't like the idea of her being completely unprepared then questioning me about it. It's an incredibly uncomfortable topic.
Just wondering what others have done in the past to avoid having the conversation come up. I'm a little wary... my last GP told me I was acting like a baby and needed to stop scarring up my arms like I was. Needless to say, I was not impressed. >_>
EDIT: Went to the appointment, all went well. Lock please. ^_^
