Bumping

Hi, yes, I know what bumping is, but I can't understand why its such a big deal? Like, why does it matter if the thread is from 6 months ago? :confused:

We do not allow threads to be bumped as often the OP no longer needs a reply or hasn't logged on, the thread is no longer relevant and it becomes a big waste of time. E.g. if someone opens a thread 5 months ago about their depression for example then in that time they recover and someone bumps their thread, that reply will be worthless to them and will only waste everybody's time.

The bump limit is 2 months across the forum except in diaries where it is unlimited and Puberty Questions for Boys and Girls where it is 3 months. In some cases, the moderator will use their discretion when there is a bump. Additionally, the original poster of a thread may bump their own.
