Seeing as how you've bought one, I won't bother expressing my personal opinions on these cars. Nonetheless enjoy it.

Haha thanks but no thanks. I'm sure dad would be annoyed if I traded his toy for a car overseas. Especially when he hasn't finished it yet

Droooool. Moar pics plz.

I love the Falcon, especially the XR8. I wish they would import these to America. I think it would do quite well.

The Falcon looks similar to the Fusion here. The design is some what close. If they stuffed a V8 under the hood and made it RWD, it would be pretty sweet. I would rather have a Falcon!

Thanks for the pics!

I have a Ford Crown Victoria which is a V8 and RWD. I love it. Unfortunately Ford just discontinued in September after 30 years of production. The Falcon would be a great replacement!

I love this exhaust!

Yeah. They're completely different which is quite wierd, considering its all Ford. I've been in a Mustang before, just on all counts I'm not a fan. Admittedly they look nice but mechanicals and parts disappointed me. ie. plastic used in interior and the gearbox/engine. Each one to their own though, and admittedly they're an awesome looking car.

For example, the Falcon we have my dad bought to modify. It's the performance model turbo V6. Stock, it has 415hp, and weighs about 200kg less than a Taurus, not sure what the Mustang weighs. They come in a six speed manual or a 6 speed auto. We got the auto as we are planning to up the power, and they're easier to rebuild for strength as well as it holds the engine in boost better.

Not a 100% Ford guy myself but admittedly they make a good car.

hahaha i'm just gonna awkwardly jump in this and say, i think the closest thing we've had to a falcon is, ironically, the mercury maruder. Honestly that car in black is sooo sickkk. I would love a Falcon in the states though, it made me sad when Pontiac was shut down, and they took the G8 with it :( And now Chevy is just rebadging a Holden Commodore as a Caprice and giving it just to the cops :/ sad sad sad.

Back to the Mustang, the GT500 is probs one on my fav american cars ever, the GT500 KR and Ford GT being the other two :P

I think the Mustang is going to be sick when they put 600+ hp in the 2013 GT500 (GT600?) soo yeahh i love fords obviously :P haha

I honestly think that the V6 version is a waste of money. For the money, I'd much rather have a V6 Accord or a Hyundai Genesis.

The V8 is nice, but I prefer the Challenger. Not the Mustang is a bad car, I've heard that the most recent update is great, but I still find them... plastic-y.

The GT500 is great, even though it won't go around corners.

V6 accord is a ridiculous statement. V6 genesis and you have a fairly good arguement tbh. The Challenger is the bloated, whale of a car and its V6 is an engineering nightmare compared to Mustang, just saying :)

However, i'll agree with you on the GT500 not being able to go around corners... but Ford does offer the Mustang BOSS Laguna Seca that can hang with an M3 for the canyon carving crowd... i think the Mustang has nearly every enthusiast covered :P

I was lucky enough to ride in an updated Mustang (from Performax Australia where we got my dads car) I will say it's much better than the 07 to the... 09? Not sure when they were updated. And from what I've heard the Laguna Seca is an awesome bit of machinery and Ford have done an excellent job, but the M3 is class all over a mustang, I'm sorry. The engine is smaller, but due to the tech involved is a free-er, higher revving motor. The suspension is much more advanced and the feedback to the driver is much better. America have the minds and tech to make the Mustang so better, but even the Laguna Seca model has a live axle rear end? I'd love to see an American car with the power and handling to match the looks. And when they have that, they will have a world class car.

I know the M3 is a better car, haha i would take it over the Mustang anyday, but for Ford to produce a car with a live rear axle that can stay with a M3 around a track and probably kill it in the starights is downright impressive, regardless of your biases, and i think that is a pretty impressive engineering feat in its own right. The next gen Mustang will be IRS and is going to be on a new global platform so expect more of the same if not better handling in the future. And with the next gen M3 going twin/tri turbo Inline 6 i expect the Mustang to mop it up with its V8 or with a Twin Turbo 6 cylinder of its own.

Basically the v6 i feel is the e onomy performance car i mean 300 horses amd 35 mpg first in anything and still pretty good handleing and yur comparing a wat 60000 US dollar m3 to a 40000 US dollar boss 302 so basically yu have a cartht beats the m3 for 20k less now lemme tune it up a bit and then we will see
Also i feel ford sticks wit tht archiac axle cuz its almost like tradition i feel
And for v6 i slap on a set of 3.55 gears and a procharger hello 450+ hp

me personally if i were gonna get it which i do love them but not practical for me but i wouldnt even consider the V-6 model i would definetly go with the real american muscle of the V-8 GT model it would be worth the extra 8,000.00 i mean if your gonna spend that kind of money on a 2012 mustang whats another 8,000.00 might as well get what you want and are gonna like down the road if you want a V-6 get like a fusion :lol::lol:

Personally, I love mustangs, the new ones especially. The only way I would get one is if I am making loads of money. Not only is the car rather expensive, the gas for it will be too. V12 taking premium. I would estimate that to be $120+ a week. Thats like a car payment.

I know this was bumped mods, but can I just say, did this dude seriously just say Mustangs have a V12?

Last year i got a 2011 V6 for my 16th Bday!!! I like it, however I am trading it in for a 2013 5.0. My V6 had a lot of kick for being a 6 cylinder, but i want more power now.... :p
I personally think you should go with the GT you'll be glad you did in the long run.

Bad traction= lots of torque
So he needs to upgrade lol

A Camaro is such a sexy car, but if I were to pick one, I would go with the mustang because it's made by Ford; Ford is the most reliable - I think - of the American car makers.
