Should we make common threads that you see every now and again such as abortion or gay marrige or an overall religon thread as stickys because you see so many of thease threads getting posted up every now and again and they are common things that get discussed to should we or could we do this.

What do you guys think?

p.s I am aware there is a religon poll but still a lot of religon threads get posted and they are all simmlar to one and other.

There are lots of those. If we were to sticky them all, you would probably have to go through at least 2 pages of stickies only to find the other debates.

I meant that you create an overall sticky for each common thread i.e Religon

There is a religion sticky.
And I can't see this completely necessary because there isn't one issue that is debated as much as that.

Yeah there's quite a few common debate topics and to sticky them all would cover at least a page. It doesn't sound worth it in my opinion.

Hmm. At least abortion and gay marriage could have a single thread. Not every debate, but the big ones like that.

those were the 2 main threads i was thinking of and a possible religon thread sticky for an overall debate.

I can see and I get the point that if we have to sticky them all there will be a lot of sticky threads. Not sure if this will work out.

we have said that we cant have everything obviously, but we have said that having common ones for abortion and gay marrige is what we could have as they are very common threads...A new one is made every month almost

Yes but it is rather bland its more for stating your religon and maybe sometimes commenting on it rather than debating a point on view.

I think maybe because there are a lot of religous topics that maybe a religion thread would not cover all topics.

But I do know for sure that if we had one for gay marrige and one for abortion this would have a good chance of working as a sticky....

I mean I do know that if we had these 2 topics as a sticky it would stop a lot of re posting the same dabate.
