Ok, so I have been doing good in my eyes for a while with slowing down my drug usage. In my town though, almost everyone does drugs and that's not an exaggeration. Literally 85% of people here at my school smoke weed and even do pills and shit since I live in a mid to high class suburban town I feel like it's because kids here can get money pretty easily. But I have been getting into Oxy and Percs on and off for the last year and a half. I slowed down for a while because it was getting a little out of hand with the nasty ass withdrawals. But this week I got back onto them first with a 10 mg hydrocodone for a few days every night and now it went from 20 yesterday to 3 10mg tabs like 20 min ago. I keep telling myself that I'm gonna quit doing pills and shit all the time and now here I am sitting in my room jammed out of my fucking mind. I basically use them to numb my feelings and stuff. I don't really have a bad life but life in general is depressing to me and I've been becoming more and more shut out in my mind lately, zoning out into my mind and stuff. I just wish that I could quit but I have no idea how to actually go through with it. Has anyone actually gotten off of a drug on this site that pulls you in as much as Oxys and Percs do? How did you do it?
thank you all in advance for the support :)

It's awesome you're able to admit you have a problem, and even more awesome you're reaching out for help. You have taken the first, most important steps on the road to recovery.
When we're dealing with drugs like the ones mentioned, you are deffinately going to experience some physical effects. These may last a few days to a few weeks.Depending on the person, it can take upwards of a month sometimes. With such a low dose, I would be confident it wouldn't take too long to get over the physical effects, but it'll be a bitch.
Major things you may want to start foccusing on may be:
-The friend groups you hang out with, and what drugs they do if they do them
-How well you are able to resist the temptation, and if you are not able, what you could do to stop yourself (calling a "safe" friend, etc.)
-SEEK HELP FROM A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL!!! I'm just a 19 year old who's done a lot of drugs, and seen a lot of people fucked up. A doctor would be able to explain what you might expect, and what you might be able to do to ease the pain
-If none of the above work, consider rehabilitation.
When you're taking drugs like that, it puts you in such a place that you just don't need to care about anything (in my experience), and that can be the major addiction for most people. We all get so caught up in our daily lives, becomming more and more stressed, and rarely do we take the time to actually sit back and take some time to ourselves. Drugs can artificially provide this time in my mind, but it's all a façade.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions, but again, a medical professional would be your best bet here. Sorry for all the typos, my spellcheck is in French.
