How much did it hurt and how much: It hurt kinda bad, kind of like a sting at first and then once that settled in it was just a really uncomfortable feeling.

My mum was showing me how to use a tampon and she inserted it and she accidentally broke my hymen

don't know the answer to all your questions--but yes, it could be from Plan B, and yes, it could be your period, too. I spotted a little the one time I took it and that was it, but I know others have bled longer. Have you had regular cramps or any other menstrual symptoms that you usually get?

And even if your hymen (http://www.healthresource4u.com/hymen-definition-location-pictures-repair-broken-hymen-surgery-hymen.html) previously broke, it's possible to still bleed a little after sex. Sometimes the tear isn't final at first. And hymens themselves are strange things... contrary to popular belief, the majority of women don't bleed the first time, even if their hymens were not broken before. There may be no hymen, or an elastic one. Some women still have hymens after giving birth more than once--you'd think that would break it once and for all if sex didn't!

I didn't bleed at all the first time I had sex, and thought I just wasn't going to. The second time--which was with the same guy, a few days later--I spotted some, but only noticed it afterwards, when I'd put my underwear on. As I recall, that continued for a bit, maybe as much as a couple of hours.
