Gives me memories of learning about the Vietnam War protests tbh.

Violent reactions to nonviolent protests.

Dude, I'll be honest I don't know enough/alot about why, but when the police react this way they're giving the protesters more fuel for their cause

I live like 15 minutes north of Oakland/SF, and really the only place I notice the riots are on the news, although there was a small one in my area recently. Honestly though the consensus among most of my friends is against the occupy movements, but maybe that's because the people at my school that support it are getting extremely annoying about it.

This is really stupid and sickning, i am going to be attending Occupy Chicago and i know for a fact that this is a nonviolent peaceful protest. The police is getting really out of hand. It is because we're finally speaking the fuck up instead of sitting on our asses complaining and doing nothing.

Blame it on the unruly few who use the protests as a vehicle for their anti-police agenda and end up screwing it up for everybody else.

I talked to this cop who was patrolling one of the occupy seattle protests. He said that the only reason there was so much police presence was because several groups of people wearing gas masks(think black bloc), and essentially confirmed to be unrelated to the protests were making everything hell: knocking over guard rails, throwing rocks at police and city property etc. One of the protesters even said the same thing.

The police are not to blame. The few who acted out started the riots and soon police had to take action to keep the peace. Plus gangs used the protest as a way to get by the police. Honestly these pretests are sad. People asking for handouts from the government. If it is any ones fault for being i debt, it is there own.

Yeah, those poor people should stop being poor!

You clearly know nothing about this protest, and as such your comment is of no value.

I've been thinking about organizing a 1% rally, anyone wanna join? Put on your Armani suit, top hat and monocle; summon your limo driver and hire people to make and carry signs for you. Here are some suggestions:

"I made something of myself because I don't want to be a lazy bum who whines about people who spend their days working rather than protesting making more money than me. I am the 1%."

"Homeless people go home."

"Feels good man."

"Go be poor somewhere else."

i think the cop that shot it should be charged... if a person threw somting and it hit a cop they would be charged with assalt so i dont see why it cant work the same way
