So i like this girl and have for a while now but my friend likes her also but he doesnt know i like her. The girl we both like used to have a crush on him last year but she told me that she doesnt like my friend any more she likes me and i really like her but i dont want to makethings awkward between me and my friend what should i do

Talk it out with him, tell him that you like her as well.

Don't let him stop you two if you both like each other. If he's your friend, discuss it with him, like Beans said, and he'll be cool with it. If he doesn't, though, than he's not a very good friend for putting you off for a girl who doesn't like him.

Talk to him and see if he's even gonna be mad about it. If not, go for it. If so, move on.
