OK, so I've been getting really dry and itchy eyes recently. I try blinking a lot, which hurts when they are really dry and then they just start flooding with moisture and makes me look like I am crying. It's not like hayfever, especially not this time of year, but I can't figure out what it is. I know you're probably all going to say go to an eye doctor but I am extremely freaked out by eyes or anyone going near them so I'm too scared to actually go to the doctor. I guess I am just curious to find out if anyone has this, maybe its like a symptom of a cold or something?

It can mean that you aren't getting enough sleep, I think. How many hours a night do you sleep?

Erm about 5, maybe 5 and a half? Yeah thats about right. I finish sorting out everything at home around 12 or 12.30, and then up at 5.30 to start all over again

I would suggest you go see your GP, but just a question do you wear contacts?

It can be a lot of things, but I can only think of two. If you didn't get enough sleep, as already stated, or if your around someone who smokes.

Yea the best I could recommend as much as your going to hate it is to go see your GP, he/she is there to help you the best they can. It could be a number of things :)

Urgh ok...I guess I'll brave the doctors! I'll call them tomorrow...wish me luck!

Good luck! But it's probably your sleep deprivation. I sleep around the same amount as you or sometimes less and it causes my eyes to be itchy. Also, the types of make up you are wearing, wind, and so on.

All the best, and like Winter said; it could be something very simple, but best to be on the safe side of things :) Let us know how it goes.

Until you get it looked at... you should carry around some eyedrops with you. They can work wonders.
