Hi VT

Well I have a lazy attitude towards homework whitch is not like me to be lazy as I am usually rather active.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do to improve my homework attitude or useful advice to stop me doing it at the last min.

I do well in my homework so its not like I am failing at what I do I would just like a way to improve my attitude/approach.

Any Advice would be most welcomed

I'm lazy as well. It's horrible because I went all four years of high school and never studied, did my homework, or even cracked a book. I paid others to do it for me or they just did it because I asked! :P But NO, I do not recommend doing that. Now that I'm in collge...it's a failure.

Try and attend an organizing class, or maybe go to a Student Success class at your local Community College if you have them. Get a planner and take out an hour or two every night/day for you to do your homework. Any free time between/during classes, do your homework. TELL YOURSELF: Doing this work determines the rest of my life!!!!!!!!

Well I do, do it just at the last minute.

I also have a study planner but I think the last time I used it was like just after August (we get issued them when we go back)

Like right now I am doing a report so I am on here every 5-10 mins looking at stuff then I go back to it.

I have invested In a massive whiteboard where I write assesments revision and homework tasks and that reminds me and sort of makes me go and do it but I was wondering if anyone had any techinques so to speak.

Can you recomend a better study planner, as the one we get issued is basic and looks awful.?

Also its werid because when I am at school I am in the mood to do it then when I get home its like...god kill me know I cant be bothered to do it.

Then start doing your homework during classes at free times. I used to do that. Well, I'd have others do it during their free time in classes.

I have a large white board as well, and it makes good for helping remind you of major tests/minor tests coming up, so on.

I also have a very nice, leather, planner. When I was in Middle School they would issue us some pieces of crap cardboard/paper planners that were horrible! Go to your local Walmart (Or even JCPennies!!!) Or somewhere like Target, and go to the office section. Getting yourself something that zips, as to not lose any precious reminder papers, and perhaps has a place to keep your pen/pencil and a small calculator. I know these things seem menial but a planner like this will come in big handy. Get one with a separate calender and place for notes on top of your regular separate date parts.

By getting a separate calender you will be able to circle dates that you need to remember, perhaps even high light days you will not have to attend school and so on (I once showed up for school on a day we didn't have it...Damn teacher work days!!!).

With a Notes section you can write down perhaps any items you may need to get for an up and coming project.

Nextly, start using the actual Planner part effectively. Gather a list of everything you already know you need done, and go in and write them all down in short-speech on the dates they are due. Doctors appointment on the 15th of December? Right that baby down! Then go a day or two before the 15th and write down that you need to go ask your teachers for any work you may be missing on the 15th because of said doctors appointment.

It's all about planning ahead. You could just use the marker board, and plan it out by a week at a time like a Work Schedule. Monday: Classes from 8-3:25. Snack and nap at 4. Homework from 5-6/7 *yada yada yada*.

Doing your homework before you play will make it a lot better.

Sorry for all this long rambling. I could go on for hours. Lol
