"In the near future, dark and bleak, America has since been under the second civil war. The war between the democrats and the republicans. Since then, the east side of America is under the Conservative control, with Boston it's capitol since the destruction of DC. And the liberals in the west, with San Francisco being their capitol. The 20 year long war has ravaged America to it's core. But when a young kid in Boston discovering he has a long lost half sister in San Francisco, the two are determined to met up and bring the once great country together. Along the way, they encounter allies that help them in their mission, a masked enemy sworn to stop them at all costs, and a plot to destroy San Francisco, but with both sides pointing nuclear weapons at each other, not only is the destruction of America imminent, but so is the human race."
How do you guys like it?

I think if you're gonna go through with a story like this you're gonna have to cover several areas (unless you've done so already, which is great), like the immense back story which would have to follow this. Uh, looking at its brief details, San Francisco being the capital for liberals is a bit obvious and kind of irked me.
What outcome to the story do you have in mind?

Yes there will be a long back story. A lot of my stories do. Most of my stories have factual history behind them, so a deep back story will be there.
Ummm with the San Francisco thing, yeah... i made it obvious for a reason. Mainly cause whenever someone says San Francisco, besides the Golden Gate Bridge, which will probably play a major role in the story, but i know i think of the leftist side. Pretty much if you look at the demographics, San Francisco has been under the liberal government for a very long time. Not saying it's a bad thing, but it would make a great capitol and stronghold for the liberals in the story.
And I tend to keep my outcomes a secret. But you have my word, there will be no biased stuff in there. That is all I'm saying.
Oh and not to mention a shocking revelation in Part III (yes I decided to make it a trilogy).

Only make it a trilogy if it's worth making a trilogy out of. You don't want to write too much unnecessarily.

well if you think about it...two kids trying to end a 25 year war, that's not gonna happen over night theoretically. it's gonna take some time and development for the characters to go through. possibly the course of a few months or maybe even a whole year (this entire idea is partly inspired by the entire "Avatar: The Last Airbender" series. which is basically a trilogy, takes place over a whole year, a group of kids attempting to end a war that has brought enough damage and of course they go on a great journey and learn along the way many great moral lessons that will help them in the final battle)
i think i said too much.i'm gonna try to put a copyright on this as soon as possible.

But the key to sequels is knowing when you're writing too much unnecessarily. Just keep that in mind before immediately deciding to turn it into a trilogy, that's all I'm saying.
