So, I have a 3-4 page Example Essay to write. I was given a list of topic and I'm having trouble picking one and going with it. Which topic would you pick and why?


Compared to voice phone, text messaging has many advantages.
Individual consumers can help slow down global warming.
People one come to admire don't always at first seem likable.
Good (or bad) habits are necessary to the nation's economy.
Each family has its distinctive lifestyle.
Certain song lyrics , closely inspected, promote violence.
Comic books are going to the dogs.
At some point in life, most people triumph over crushing difficulties.
Churchgoers aren't perfect.
TV commercials suggest that buying the advertised product will improve your love life.
Home cooking can't win over fast food (or vice versa).
Ordinary lives sometimes give rise to legends.
Some people I know are born winners (or losers).
Books can change our lives.
Certain machines do have personalities.
Some road signs lead drivers astray.

Mostly 'cause I'm a bit of a nerd and live in books, lol.

I would pick:
Compared to voice phone, text messaging has many advantages.

but I hate essays and I'm bad at writing ones that require you to have 3-4 pages. -_-

This an be sure to bring up somewhere something like "Is texting a thing of the future, or just a fad that will soon fade?"

Books can change our lives

Simply because it is the easiest topic out of them all. Since you can dig up a lot of info on books and its history, PLUS input your own personal experience on how books changed something in you (or you can BS it and make it seem true)

Well i would choose "Ordinary lives sometimes give rise to legends." This is such an open ended topic - u can talk about fact or fiction. U can dwell into mysterious worlds or talk about famous people that started from nothing - like Nelson Mandela. Hope im not too late - looks like this forum was started a few days ago...
