Hey guys. Got some possible good news for people and others bad news.
In Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) You got 2 perks called:
Ninja= Invisible to heartbeat sensors Pro= Silent Footsteps
Sit-rep= See enemy equipment Pro hear enemy louder ---Footsteps
Now as some of you may know that Ninja is no longer in MW3 but sit-rep is and a perk called dead silence
Sit-rep is Equipment can be seen pro is Enemy footsteps are more clear (like MW2)
Dead Silence is Your footsteps are silent pro is not fall damage.
Now the problem that this has is unlike MW2 where Sit-rep did not cancel out ninja Sit-rep in MW3 IS GOING TOO.
This really does not matter too much for majority of Spawn game modes (games where you spawn right after you die like TDM Domination Cap the flag. basically every game other than search and destroy) So why does it not effect Spawn game modes? Well pretty much the fact that there is always killing contestant moving action fast paced,very little need for Dead Silence.
So why does it affect Tactical game modes?
This effect game modes like search and destroy and other games where low spawn rate and more thinking S&D has little action in the sense that it is really really slow paced at times. not always but it is a lot of the time (even more on HC) So this effects it by basically not allowing any kind of sneak what so ever if people use this perk and I think it will be used a lot. Sneak is important in games like this as you only have 1 life per round the survival is key to your team. Sneak is priority for S&D most of the time especially when it gets down to those last 2 players.
So how does this cause issues + sound whoring.
Basically as we all know if you play on multiplayer with a headset you are more likely to hear the enemy yes. Well if you have a good headset one that positions sound to where its coming form in the game then you do well as you can hear the enemy that's why ninja was important and the fact is to sound whore is not that hard is it? wow footsteps in my right headphone, He must be to the right of me. oh look footsteps getting louder he must be close oh looks hes here. Ninja was the only perk that could stop this
Also you then have encouraged camping because people don't want to make to much noise walking.
So over all tactical game may and could be ruined.
Possible solutions?
Well you could crouch walk everywhere. which wont work because imagine doing that on a big map like storm or carnival. (they are MW2 maps but you the picture)
Sit-rep pro could be really hard to get like it was in MW2 as you had to should so many claymores or C4s because that was about all that was shoot able.
So over all do you think this is good for tactical games?

Do you think this is a bad idea that there should be one perk that helps out with dealing with sit rep users.
