I am a very strong-willed, aggressive, and competitive person. I can be nice, and sweet when it comes to people, however I get what I need to done.
I always though I would become a surgeon, because the adrenaline rush, the competitive nature of it, and saving lives is one of the best possible things I can imagine.
However, the only problem with that is that I really do want a family. I want kids, watch them grow up, go to all their basketball/soccer games, be there every Christmas to be an awesome dad. And, being a surgeon you have to put the lives of others first, and I know that it's going to take away from the family.
So, I considered nursing, but I was told it was pretty much the same thing as doctor...
And, now I'm considering teaching and counseling. Because you still get that people-interaction, help people out, have to keep the class in line, and you get to be with your family a lot...
So, I really don't know what to do. It's like the ancient struggle between job and social life.
I'm not asking you tell me what to do, but what would you suggest?
