It all started on the 12th of June 2011. But I need to go back further than this..

I've been using drugs all year long(Weed aswell, started the year before). Started with MDMA pills next moved onto Acid tabs, then Methathepmines, then finnaly, magic mushrooms.

I've had Visual snow syndrome my entire life(Google it if you dont know what it is) but on this day, the 12th of june, I was just chilling playing some video games, then out of no where, with no warning, no pain, nothing...a weird swirling of colours appeared in the corner of my vision (Left hand side) it progressed and got larger to the point where it covered half my left eyes vision. Just as quickly as it came, it dissapeared. I have learnt over the past several months it was a migrane aura or visual migrane, no pain..just a weird as fuck image..you can look it up on youtube. The followings days, my I then begun to have tenseness in my eyes, difficulty moving them and the feeling of having to make phsycial effort to see all the time. this eventually passed after a few months but it has come back again (mild in comparison to what it was before though) but what has me really worried is since the migrane, I believe my visual snow has gotten worse and I now see shimmering or vibrating in the corner of my vision most of the time. Even for a while whenever I was on the computer I would see weird blotches of brown or bright light in the top area of my vision or corner of it (outside the monitor if that makes sense) it has since then lessend but sometimes comes back and creates discomfort when on the computer. I now fear my visual snow is getting worse and I may eventually lose a good portion of my eye sight.

Well thats it i guess, cant really think of what more else to add. I'm just posting here in hopes someone might know what the fuck is happening to me.

Might also like to add that before this migrane all I had was mild static in vision. ALL other symptons have come since migrane.

Well, my advice is to go see an ophthalmologist (eye doctor). Your condition is not something heard about everyday. The doctor will most likely test you and then send you to a neurologist. Between these two doctors you should get an answer. Trust me, your vision is worth your parents finding out about the drugs.

Yes, I would definitely bring this up to your parents. It obviously isn't anything to be ashamed about or anything you can control. Ask them if you can see someone as soon as possible, just in case. Remember, none of us here are completely certified physicians, so we can't diagnose you.

Ummm, I think there might be a little to do with your recent intake of medications that you have been doing this past year, I would suggest going to see a opthamologist, a pediatric one pending your age but you will need to tell them EVERYTHING.... They will need to know EVERYTHING in order to treat you correctly and effeciently.

These guys know the way. It'll be hard to tell them everything, but in the long run your health is far more important.

Bud, a nurologist cannot help you, it isn't neurological it is opthalmic.

Did you even bother to google visual snow or HPPD?

I personally don't mean to be rude, or insensitive, but reading the OP, there really is no treatment to visual snow, or the likes as no actual problems have been seen with the eyes of patients that have said to have it as well. Though injections have been a alternative as a way to treat it, there have been no official confirmation they even worked. There is not much i can say, and not much we can do because no one is being funded to look deeper into how to cure visual snow.

Yes, I also checked with the National Library of Medicine and MedlinePlus, I am a Pre-Med Student......I know what I am talking about.

Btw, if you used wikepedia, it is an invalid search engine because facts can be falsified so easily....

A neurologist studies how the brain works and its respective functions, you need an neuropathopysiologist, someone who studies the barin, it's functions and diseases, illnesses and abnormalities.

Dimitri has made the effort to reply to your thread and help you. If you bash him or anyone else again like this, an infraction and thread lock will be coming your way.
