Does the column of friends on the profile mean anything? Does it mean the people who look at your profile the most? Is it based on people you interact with the most?

I don't get why Facebook doesn't just list the people who are online. I don't see how it's helpful to have a little list of random friends. It would be much more helpful to have a list of people interacted with most, or simply people who are online.

they do. the people you interact with the most is when you go under "Friends" and the people who are online are on chat. but i'm talking about when you click "Profile" and there is like 10 random friends in a single column.

Regardless, a list of 10 random friends still isn't helpful in any way.

It doesn't have to be random. From what I remember you can have the list only have people you choose to show up.

I was actually wondering this too, it may well be random but there's something going wrong when I get the same 5/10 people every single time I sign on.
