Are there still any fans of Genesis, Collins, and/or Gabriel out there? They're without a doubt my favorite band, and one of the few bands that I can listen to every song a million times and not get tired of it.

As for the Collins vs. Gabriel debate, I've always like the Collins era more. I was listening to Collins' Genesis before Gabriel's.

I've been listening to Gabriel's first four solo albums in the past six or seven months. I've ignored them for too long.

I should show Gabriel some more love. I've got all of his stuff and I don't pay enough attention to it. He really is great, but I got caught up in Jimi Hendrix for a pretty good while.

I'm kind of interested in buying "Acting Very Strange" by Mike Rutherford. I listened to a few songs from it. Poor Mike can't sing, but it was still pretty cool to hear.

Don't buy it. Only get "Smallcreep's Day", his first solo album. There is a reason "Acting Very Strange" is his last proper solo album aside from The Mechanics.

I already have Smallcreep's Day. I was only interested in Acting Very Strange because of Mike on vocals.

He's pretty bad, but the music sounds very similar to The Mechanics.

Regarding solo albums, though. "The Fugitive" by Tony Banks is easily one of my favorite albums by a Genesis member.

I think Banks is underrated, by far. Even his work with Genesis is totally an after thought for some people. I thought his last solo album from '04 was a great turn for classical music.
