Well. This is a little awkward.

I have a huge crush on my best friend. Small problem. He has a girlfriend. I know her, and she's really pretty and nice and I like her, but at the same time, I hate her because she has him.

He's told me that he trusts me more than anyone else in the world and he tells me things that he couldn't tell anybody else, even really horrible, scary secrets that he's too afraid to tell to anyone. We're like brother and sister.

I recently found out that, before he started going out with his girlfriend he fancied me back :( but he was to scared to ask me out, because he didn't think that I liked him. Now he's met his girlfriend and obviously he likes her now instead. He talks to me about her and I have to pretend that I'm happy for them, when really, it crushes me inside.

I never get to hang out with him any more because he's always over at her house. I think she knows that I like him and doesn't want him spending too much time with me.

Whew. Rant over. Thanks for reading :)

This is unfortunately a very harsh but fairly usual thing that happens. If he matters to you as a dear friend and you want that friendship to last for as long as you can, don't mix it up with relationship problems. Just try and move on with things and find someone who wants to go out with you and have a good relationship. Be happy for him. He'll respect you more for it. And soon enough he'll start spending more time with you again. He's in that "I've got a girlfriend, yay" phase.

But this is all obviously an opinion on mine and wether its a hit or miss, I cannot be 100%.

I say you shoud be happy that you're still friends. I know that it's better like that, and I'm sure you'd feel much worse about it if you ruined it, like Funk said, with relationship issues. If it ends up not working (which I guarentee it won't) between him and his gf, be there for him. As a friend, and a girl.
