Ok, so whenever I sleep, doze off or generally lie down lately, one or both of my arms go numb (fall asleep). What bothers me isn't so much that they go numb, but I really hate the feeling when I sit or stand up again and they regain feeling. I know this doesn't bother some people, but for me, whenever my feet or arms fall asleep, it really really hurts when they.. err.. wake up:P again. So needless to say, I'd kinda prefer not to have this happen to my arms whenever I lie down, because I have to sleep at some point. It's only been happening for the last couple of week. Explanations, anyone?

It happens when you fall asleep on your arms. There's really not much you can do about it except change the position you sleep in.

Yep, this has happened to me countless times, though usually it's only like my left arm (I lay on my left side most of the time). The other day, my left arm was so numb, I started pinching it with my right hand - needless to say, I didn't feel it, but it was just weird :D

I would say try sleeping in a different position, but when someone sleeps, they're not in control of their twists and turns in bed.

Though the only advice that I can make is try to take some Aspirin before lying down. Aspirin thins the blood, so it can more easily flow through your vessels when you have some kind of pressure on them. Though if you know that you've had adverse effects when taking Aspirin or some other blood thinner, skip it.

If this continues to bug you, just ask your doctor if there's any solution next time you go to visit.

What confuses me is how it's only been happening recently when I haven' changed sleeping positions or anything that I know of.. Hm.. Maybe I could strap myself to the bed as to gain control of those twists and turns:D
