I am using Windows 7 and IE 9 and when I click on chat rooms it says encountered an error and has to shut down IE. Any ideas? Has it happened to others.

Actually, same here. Go to VT hompage, and click the Section of the VT chat that said click here. Worked for me.

Im on Chrome, and it works fine. Requires an up to date java enviroment to run though.
Do check if you have updated your java, and try to clear your browser cache.

You need Java to run the VT chat so if you dont have that then I am afraid you may not have much luck. But Java is free to download, so not that hard.

Try using a diffrent web browseer and clear your cache

No problems for me, I use firefox.
