I don't think it's weird. I find it extremely uncomfortable to be naked in front of my peers (and not my close friends) at school. It's much easier at the gym because all of the guys are older, they're not looking around and curious (like most kids our age are), and we can all just get on with our business. And i usually have an erection as well, but that's just because I get them easily, not because I'm turned on. But yeah, the gym is like the only place where you can be publicly nude and no one really cares. :)

Its a vice versa thing, works the same for me at pools, before and after p.e classes.
