Hi, i'm 15 years old. I have never loved anyone before, but i seem to be in love with this girl in my year. I only really met her last year, but never became proper mates til this year, when we started talking over Facebook etc...

But everytime i see her i get little butterflies, and such.

She is single, and i have thought about coming clean with my feelings for her, but i can't because i think if i tell her, it could make things awkward in our friendship.

Can you give any advice?

I wouldnt come clean just yet. Hang out with her and ask her out before you do that.

i am in the EXACT situation you are in. i met this girl last year and just over the past few months i've started having feelings for her. and just like you i get butterflies. i only talked to her on Facebook a few times and i thought about going up to her and talking to her, but i get so nervous i just want to throw up. ( I guess I can benefit from this thread too. Sorry for trying to steal the spotlight. lol.)

But yeah. I have to agree. It's infatuation. Not really love. But I say (and I'm gonna try this too) talk to her. Build up on the friendship first. Only when you feel 100% confident then you can reveal your feelings and ask her out. It just takes time. That's the only thing different from my situation. I don't have all the time.

It's been a couple of months, but no look at all. I'm nice, and i make jokes around and stuff, but it doesn't seem to be happening.

We don't talk that much anymore. We send messages every now and again, but don't chat much. Everytime i say something sarcastically or as a joke online, she seems to respond in an angry way. Don't know if she is kidding back or something. We hang around in the same area at break and such, but we never talk as she is always talking to other people.

I have contemplated telling her plenty of times, but..

1. I don't want to do it with people around
2. I don't have the guts

I have just accepted that it ain't going to happen. I tried my best at it, but i guess it's the single life for me
