For the last few years I've noticed that I'm starting to loose intrest in everything I used to have fun doing... I dont feel sad, hopeless, or anything like that... I just get overly bored and just lay around doing nothing.

Are these signs of a form of depression? Plz help!

I don't think this is depression. I think you just are being bored because

You don't appear to be doing anything.

So get off your butt and do something! Chat with a friend. Plan a sleepover. Watch a show.

Or be productive and clean your room.

Seriously, you are not depressed. Go do something.

NOW.

I do things and hang out with friends! It's just that whenever I do anything I end up really bored within half an hour...

Either way, you're still not depressed...

Yeah, same here. I've lost my interest in football alot. I get a few laughs here and there but nothing fun, probably becuase I play highschool ball now. Although everything else isn't fun anymore either.

And yet you're not DEPRESSED, right?

I don't agree with Hannah saying "YOU'RE NOT DEPRESSED". We aren't in your shoes. You could be. No one knows you better than you. I kinda lost interest in everything at one stage as well. Really, you just gonna -make- yourself do it or try out new things. Stuff you've never done before. Pick up an instrument, sport, game. Make new friends. Find stuff to do. Life is too short to waste.

It simply sounds like you need to find new things that interest you. It happens, life becomes boring once you do the same thing over and over again for a while. You just need to get out and do something that sounds interesting.

Agreed. Sometimes we need a change of scenery or a change of routine. Find some other things that interest you and get involved with some things. To answer your question, this could be a mild form of depression that is more active in the subconscious than the conscious mind. If you have experienced something that shocked you (death in the family, break up, etc) then it can cause this type of depression.
