This was the only place this seemed appropriate so ill just post it.
So i smoke, im 13. I know its bad, i am going to quit, but i want to tell my brother first, because he smokes and i trust him to keep ot a secret and to help me quit, but i dont know how to tell him, do i text him? Get someone else to tell him? Or do it face to face? And what if he tells my mum? I need help guys. Im not asking for help with smoking, its help telling someone, so i can quit.
Thanka for any help:)

Texting or getting someone else to say it is a bad idea. Just do it face to face in an area away from other people. What you say to him is up to you really. Just be calm and let him cool down if he gets upset. Can't say what would happen if he tells your mom as I don't know her, but I hope all goes well.

With me, I just told him. I probably just got one out in front of him, actually. He dips, and doesn't like that I smoke but he periodically buys me a pack. It's not that big of a deal -- and you need a support system and he might be it.
After all, he is your brother, he might already know. :P

If you really trust him, tell him face to face. Texting could be bad, you never know where it might end up. If he smokes, do you really think he will help you? Don't have someone else do it, then they know, and you never know who they may tell also. Like others said, just fat out say it.

You could try simply... "I need your help to quit smoking."

Exactly, its very simple. Just come out and say it. I'm glad you're quitting. :)

You should just QUIT and don't tell anybody about it, you're 13 years old, you cant be smoking!!!! Damage to your lungs could be bad while they are still developing!!

This is true, but it doesn't help the OP. She realizes what he did wrong, and is asking for guidance. Don't judge so harshly.

Yeah just ask him for his help, I'm more than sure he'll be happy to help you. Smoking isn't the end of the world especially if you're wanting to quit it.

Well, I would simply take him aside one day and talk to him about it. I'm not sure how old he is but you could ask him when he started smoking. Tell him you made a bad decision and you want to make it right before it is too late. Let him know that you trust him and you need his help.
