What do you think about his music. Please no comments about him being a child molester, or things like that. Thank you :) :rimshot:

I'm not a fan of everything he did. I like some of his stuff tho, and there's no denying his talent or impact on music.
Whisper it quietly, but I even liked his Jackson 5 stuff.....but don't tell anybody :)

I didn't like the Jackson 5 all that much, mostly his solo work.

I like a lot of his songs and listen to them when I want to relax. He may have been bad in the public eye, but he did have a lot of talent.

Jackson 5 were brilliant, then he went solo and became weird and I think it shows on his music. Only a couple of decent songs in my opinion.

One of the best artists of all time. To be honest, I was really only a fan of his music from around 1978-1987 or so. But he was definitely the biggest musical star of the last 30 years. Still doesn't seem right that he's gone, y'know?

My favorite of his stuff:
"JUST BEAT ITTTTTTTTT BEAT ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT"
And
"Oh baby give me one more chance
(show you that I love you)
Won't you please let me
(back in your heart)
Oh darlin' I was blind to let you go
(let you go baby)
But now since I see you in his arms
(I want you back)"
He may be a little strange, but he was DANG FREAKIN AWESOME MUSIC!!!

I like MJ. He was a very talented musician and performer who knew how to collaborate with others to experiment and create great music. And of course, those dance moves.
I wouldn't say he's too overrated, especially considering the level of hatred many people have for him these days. I don't see what's wrong with an artist being "weird". Aren't the extraordinary ones usually the most innovative? The ones who dare to change? That kind of spirit feels lost in today's mainstream music scene, where every new hit is some electro-shit with the same boring chord progressions and wall of synthesizers, with some shitty rapper laying down pathetic one-liners about fucking while a corporate-manufactured lead singer repeats some meaningless chorus over and over again.
Micheal Jackson had a terrible life. Sadly, his music came at the price of his sanity.
Oh, by the way. You know who's really overrated? The Who.

He was the best entertainer. An amaIng person and for someone to be so caring, softly spoken and generous makes me wonder how he could ever become the "monster" that everyone claims him to be. I think it's completely ridiculous.
Yes his music was a bit average at times, but when he made an absolutely smash of a song, he made it just that. You either loved a song of his or you just didn't like it at all. And to say an artist who influenced so many people to this day, being a singer, dancer or humanitarian, to be over-rated is a tiny bit of an ignorant opinion. Very few people have managed to do what he achieved in his life time and he still had some time left had it not been for his deteriorating health.
Check out that anniversary show of his he did in the early 2000's on YouTube and tell me an over-rated star can make a show like that with an audience reacting that way.
