Redirection

A lot of the time when I press the User CP button I get redirected to a random Web page. Is their a way to fix this?

Try clearing your cookies?

Perhaps it's a virus. Or if you are using a proxy, they could be trying to use that as advertisements.

Depends on the 'random' page you're getting.

If you're getting sent to random ass websites, it's most likely a virus, but if it's, say, an error page, then nothing is wrong here. So long as refresh brings the page up, you shouldn't worry about anything.

Wait so being on a proxy does fuck up redirects?
So that's why when i click on a thread from any 'indirect' point, i get sent somewhere random on the site....

Well, technically, it depends on the kind of proxy you use.
Web proxies suck very much, where as HTML proxies are much more reliable.

Although wouldn't it just be easier if you didn't use a proxy in the first place? :p
