Cutting is not the only way. You shouldn't let a temporary problem cause you to mark your skin permanently. It was underhanded of her and that wasn't really the way to go about it. She'll probably get over it or they'll probably break up and then she'll get over it but as you know you shouldn't have you should take some steps so next time you don't

Maybe you should get an animal to talk to. I know, I know, it sounds stupid.. but sometimes, it helps a LOT.

See this is why I really want a dog. Pure nonjudgmental quality time. I reckon a pet would be better than a therapist.

You know what, don't beat yourself up about it. 2 months is amazing! People have slip ups, they we're not perfect. It's fine that you did this, but of course, don't get back into the habit. Like others said, just talking it out, with a pet, or anyone or anything, is helpful. Try spending time with people, IM, text, or anything you can to interact with them, so you aren't alone, and don't cut. It is hard, but you will get there again. 2 days will turn into weeks soon enough, and take it from there.
You can do it.
Good Luck,
StoppingTime/Steve

You'll get there. It isn't an east feat, and that's fine. But you will do it. As long as you believe that you can do it, then you can. But if you don't, then your more than likely to fail.
That is the key to stopping any addiction, believing in yourself, nobody can do it for you.

I don't think any video will change people's minds on cutting..... but to each their own.

Sweetheart, cutting isn't a coping mechanism. It only makes things worse. Sooner or later, you will regret it. It will hold you back from life, from people and from doing what you love. It does nothing but destroy your life. Ever heard of those drug addict stories? The lives ruined by it? People who could have been great, destroyed? That's like self-harm. There are other alternatives. We feel alone all the time but we're actually not. All we have to do is reach out to the right people. You are never alone.
Love,
Faith and Trust
