im not sure if this is the right place to post this but for some, isnt being bullied as much a part of puberty as growing hair down there?
i keep reading all these stories about little kids killing themselves because creeps keep bullying them and they get to the point where they would rather be dead then to go to school another day and i have two friends who are little and they get picked on a lot and i worry about them.
we always talk about puberty being about sex or hair or bigger you know whats but isnt it also about dealing with jerks and how you feel about yourself and how your emotions grow? isnt it about your mental and emotional growing to?
anyways i was wondering if you people agree that puberty is about more then just physical growth and how bullying can kill your spirit just like not eating can kill our bodies? anyways this stuff has been bothering me a lot lately and i was curious what you might think?

This is the part of life, it depend on the personal experience, some one will deal them good but other as u say end their life up. Puberty is not only the physical growth, but as you grow youu are mature every year. Both mental and emotion will be mature as you grow. But no one's experience is same. Every one is special. It depend on the choice you have make. The choice you make determine the future you have. So as advise make the right choice. Dont let people influence you.

It's definitely there at one point in our lives. If we haven't experienced when we were younger, then most likely when we get older.

Naturally it's a very touchy subject. Especially considering the recent death of Jamey Rodemeyer.
I do agree with you to an extent, that bullying is generally a part of growing up and therefore somewhat puberty, but I don't think that it should be. It's probably fair to say that the majority of kids in schools get bullied at some point and therefore it also must be true that the majority of those kids get over it - but that's not to say that the minority should be forgotten. I can relate to the people that have taken their own lives, I've been there myself on a couple of occasions, and I know how it is to be bullied for whatever reason; so I would agree that it is a part of growing up but I wouldn't really compare it to puberty because that is something that is guaranteed to happen to some degree or another however bullying may not.

I think that bullying is certainly a part of life. Some experience it and others do not. It is in the news around here A LOT lately. Kids committing suicide and some parents blaming the school systems for not stopping it. I put the blame on the bullier and his/her parents.. I do not think that the bullying will truly stop completely. We just need to offer support to those who are getting bullied and assist in any way we can.

I dont think it is directly related to puberty unless it is bullying due to the lack of puberty proggresion. So I think it has an indirect movement people will bully regardless of age or maturity or physical development

Who is this person if I may ask?

I agree with you. and if you are worried for your friends welfare don't tell a teacher. tell the school counsellor because they are more likely to do something about it

LGBT teen that commited suicide recently because of bullies making his life, in his opinion, not worth living. Google his name and you'll get all the information and news videos you could ever watch.

mentally growing up is part of puberty to. but in the begining of puberty, people are so insecure and freaked out that a thing like bullying would make them want to kill themselves
