i used to self harm, but have been free for about 2 months. and no one knows about it. but people comment on these 5 scars i have on my wrist, saying that i obviously did it and that im emo for it.

even though them scars are NOT from self harm. ive never ever ever cut my wrists, even my arms. the scars are actually from..

1. me and my friend were messing around on a bouncy castle (yes we are big kids) and she accidentily scratched me.

2. i tackled that same friend the ground for fun (cos im a g :D) and again she acidenntly scratched me.

3. my brother accidently scratched me while play fighting.

4. i had some hair bands on my wrist for to long, and the metal bit scratched into me.

5. i accidently burned myself while my mate was teaching me how to use a lighter.

i tell people these, but they say ive just made them up. and they would leave me alone cos of it. what should i do?

Tell them the truth. If they don't believe you, they don't believe. You can't change what anyone else thinks. So what if they think you're "emo"? A lot of kids these days think that. I doubt they actually believe it deep down. It's just a phase they're going through.

Yep, just tell them what they're from. If they don't believe you, let alone make fun of you for it, screw them. Immature assholes.

I find it kind of funny that the only visible scars on my arms are the ones from me climbing a tree. The ones I made with a razor are almost completely gone.

Tell them the truth. If they don't want to believe the truth, that's their choice.

Well there isn't really anything you can do about it. Tell them the truth about those scars, let them believe whatever they want, don't let it get to you.
