View Full Version : Foreign Exchange Students

So there is this German foreign exchange student that I really like, but she's going back to Germany next week, and it's the holidays now, so we won't see each other again. I mean like, ever again.
She is really beautiful. The way she talks, everything about her I absolutely love.
How am I going to get rid of my feelings for her? I don't think adding her on facebook would be a good idea, since it'd make me come across as a stalker or something along those lines. She doesn't appear to use her facebook very much either. There's also a very minuscule chance that I'll ever see her again.
What do I do?

Something along those lines, invite her to spend a day in town/cinema etc or something similar depending on what's available in your area then just stay relaxed and see how it goes, it'll most likely become apparent whether she likes you back or not and work from there

It's not as simple as that. She may be going home next week, but the exchange students are staying in town for the last week. Town is 75 miles away, and once I get there, I'd have no way of knowing where she is.
Ok, I have a plan.
I'm going to talk to her host, who is my friend and see if she has an email address or IM that I can use to talk to her.
This is preferable because it'll be less awkward I think, and I can take my time a bit more.
Also, I can get some friends to help me with the fine points of German to show that I'm making an effort ^^

In all honesty this sounds a little like you've just seen someone you find hot and decided you have strong feelings for her when in fact it's just appearance based, as otherwise I don't get why you wouldn't have asked for an IM address or e-mail in person?

I find her attractive. She isn't 'hot'.
I spoke to her in school time and it never occurred to ask her.
It doesn't matter either way, because she's added me on Facebook. I know I said it was a bad idea, but the other exchange students added me, so I thought I might as well add her.
I'm not necessarily looking for a relationship with her. I just want her in my life.
